TYPHOON GORIO 2013 PHILIPPINES STATUS

At 12:00 n.n. 29 June 2013, the center of Tropical Storm "GORIO" was estimated based on all available data at 30 km North of Catbalogan, Samar (12.0°N, 124.8°E).

Over 2,000 passengers are now stranded in ports across Bicol as officials brace for tropical storm "Gorio" that is expected to hit the region, particularly Albay, by Saturday evening.



Based on the “central track” of Pagasa’s forecast, the depression will pass Eastern Visayas, the Bicol region and Quezon and Aurora provinces, possibly exiting through the western coast of Northern and Central Luzon. It is expected to make landfall in Samar at noon Saturday.
