ALVIN PATRIMONIO - ULTIMATE RESOURCE

This site is dedicated to Legends of the Philippines. This time, we are going to spotlight, Mr. Ironman, Captain Lionheart, the face, The Captain, Alvin Patromonio.

Alvin Patrimonio is a true legend. Not only a sports icon, but a great human being himself. Probably one of the few who would go out of his way, to spend time to his fans and even to non fan.

Alvin Patrimonio played for only one franchise, that is of the one that started as Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog. The franchise goes by many names. Coney Island Ice Cream, Purefoods Carne Norte, Purefoods Oddles Flavored Noodles. Purefoods Corned Beef Cowboys. All under the Ayala Franchise.

Once the franchise was bought by the San Miguel Group, and underwent many names. Retired still as a Purefoods Guy.

The Captain Alvin Patrimonio started his career as one of the Big 3 of Purefoods Hotdog, along with Jojo Lastimosa, and Jerry Codinera. All of them had a successful PBA career. Jojo left Purefood in a trade with Alaska Milk for Elmer Cabahug. Later on, the twin tower frontline of Jerry and Alvin won multiple championship.

Alvin was the main man in its rivalry against the La Tondena franchise. Now dubbed as Manila Classico, Purefoods and Anejo Rhum went toe to toe in its first finals match up. The upstart hotdogs however fell short against the Rhum makers led by Robert Jaworski.

Alvin also was a mainstay with the Philippine National Basketball team, winning silver in 1990 Beijing Asian Games, Bronze in 1998 Bangkok Asiad, and Bronze Medal on 1986 ABC (Now FIBA-ASIA) in Korea.

Purefoods will forever be synonymous with the name Alvin Patrimonio.
